Requirements

• Licensed by the State of Texas
• Must be able to hear (needs to be able to communicate with other staff while we are wearing masks and while hands are occupied)
• Must be able to wear latex or vinyl gloves.

Responsibilities

• Provision of dental hygiene by cleaning calcareous deposits, accretion, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
• Examines gums and locates periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.
• Applies fluorite, sealants and/or other cavity-preventing agents.
• Performance of preapical, bite wing, occlusal, and panoramic radiographs if needed.
• Chair side dental assisting, if needed
• Administrative duties, if needed
• Provides oral health education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients.
• Keep abreast of current information on the management of the medically compromised patient.
• Maintain and provide proof of current State of Texas license.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Required to maintain confidentiality for patients and patient’s records.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Dentistry or Vice President of Clinical Affairs
