This position is in a federal correctional environment.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen Required
- to be certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in any U.S. state, commonwealth
Responsibilities
- Provide dental prophylaxis for inmates who are referred to by the dental staff.
- Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient.
- Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
- Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist.
- Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff.
- Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff.
