About The Position

Beautiful, established dental practice in Park City looking to add a part-time hygienist on Thursdays. We value quality and a great patient experience. If you are dependable, energetic, and one who loves people, please submit a resume to our office! You should have a current Utah hygiene license, and previous experience as a dental hygienist to succeed in this position. Office Hours: Mon-Thur 8am-5pm The schedule is single column with 1 hour lunch. Our standard periodic hygiene appointments are 60 minutes, new patient appointments are 2 hours. We are looking to add a dedicated Hygienist who can commit to every Thursday. We are located in Summit Park, so the commute is only 20 min from East SLC.

Requirements

An associate’s degree in hygiene from a recognized institution is required.
Hygiene license issued by the state.
CPR certification is current.
Possess the ability to give local anesthetics.
Possessing the ability to use an x-ray machine.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
Comfortable with a variety of computer processes.
Oral hygiene and dental health are topics on which they are well-versed.
Previous experience as a dental hygienist

Responsibilities

Cleaning plaque, calculus deposits, and stained teeth supra/sub gingival with ultrasonic, hand instruments, and prophy cup polish.
Making a note of and evaluating the patient’s medical history.
Dental decay and disease are recorded in order for dentist to diagnose and treat them.
Keeping the dental equipment and x-ray machine in good working order.
Examining and assessing the gums for symptoms of disease, sores, and other dental problems.
Dental instruments are sharpened and sterilized.
To improve patient oral health, promote preventative dental treatment.
Fluoride and other decay-prevention products are used.
Collaboration with dentist and dental hygienists to calibrate and assist in co-diagnosis.
Maintaining a patient dental hygiene regimen.
Build trust and relationships with patients.
