Position Summary The Green State Dental Finisher specializes in shaping, contouring, and refining zirconia restorations after milling but before sintering, a critical step to prevent micro-cracks and ensure precise fit. Key duties include grinding, smoothing, infiltrating, and preparing prosthetics, requiring high attention to detail, dexterity, and technical material knowledge. This role requires close collaboration with design and production teams to deliver precise, natural-looking full-arch solutions that restore function, comfort, and confidence for patients. This technician combines technical expertise with an uncompromising attention to detail, playing a key role in transforming milled materials into high-quality, patient-ready prosthetics. Success in this role requires pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and a deep understanding of the material’s behavior within dental applications.
Requirements
- Formal training in dental laboratory technology or related field
- Proven experience as a Dental lab Technician with a focus on full arch dental prosthetics
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and the ability to replicate natural tooth characteristics
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems and digital workflows in dental technology
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dental technician, specifically working with All-On-Four hybrid restorations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to esthetic and functional details to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clinicians and lab team members.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing detailed work.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for handling small tools and materials.
- Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Certification or relevant coursework in titanium/metal finishing preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and Finish Dental Prosthetics: Read/comprehend prescriptions/work orders, and operate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
- Perform contouring, staining, and glazing of full arch dental prosthetics
- Acquire appropriate and specific materials required to complete a case successfully
- Operate motor handpieces, porcelain furnaces and other necessary equipment
- Possess proficiency in the “start-to-finish” process of full arch restorations.
- Ensure that all cases undergo quality control/assurance by Quality Control Manager
- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancing technologies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
