About The Position
Konza Prairie Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to support our dental team by ensuring accurate, timely billing and reimbursement. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient revenue cycle operations while contributing to a positive patient experience through clear communication and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset, along with a genuine commitment to supporting patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a dental clinic setting
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of dental billing and/or coding experience
- Certified Dental Biller and/or Coder
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and self-pay billing
- EHR experience
- FQHC experience
Responsibilities
- Review and verify dental coding (ICD-10, CDT, HCPCS) for accuracy and compliance
- Submit and track insurance claims, including follow-up on denials and resubmissions
- Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts (EOBs/RAs)
- Manage patient billing, balances, and payment plans
- Respond to billing inquiries and provide clear, helpful information
- Communicate with insurance companies and third parties to secure reimbursement
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR
- Collaborate with dental and administrative teams to support efficient operations
