Requirements

  • Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment (e.g. RDA, CDA, EFDA, state registration, or equivalent as required by the state)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards
  • Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and maintain accurate patient records
  • Educate patients on oral health, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
  • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Support smooth patient flow and a positive experience from check-in to check-out
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
  • Preparing patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
  • Helping to educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
  • Improving oral health, solving dental challenges, and bettering smiles every day
