Requirements
- Dental Assistant certification
- X-ray certification/radiology license
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Prior experience in a dental office is highly preferred - 1-3 years
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
- Take x-rays (if certified)
- Greet patients, review medical history, and prepare them for treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment instructions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards
- Monitor dental supply inventory.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and phone calls
- Support a smooth, efficient, and professional clinical environment.
- Clear communication.
