Alpers Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is looking for a full-time assistant to join our growing team. In our office, we care about training, mentoring and advancing the skills of our team members so that they can build and develop skills for a career. The role of dental assistant can provide you with: Knowledge of building a patient-centric team culture Technical skills in assisting; problem solving and communication Knowledge of dental office fundamentals including: Scheduling patients, inventory management, treatment planning and communication and more Skills in planning daily workload and activities to support office priorities As a dental assistant, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the patient experience. Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard. Lead and partner with a team of passionate and knowledgable team members who strive to exceed patient expectations by focusing on decreasing wait time, friendly patient interactions and exceptional procedure outcomes Lead and follow up on the completion of daily tasks and trainings to drive proficiencies for patient experience Quickly respond to any disruptions in the day that may affect patient experience by problem solving, collaborating with team and taking initiative to mitigate further disruptions Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias You might be a great match if: Working in a fun and energetic environment makes you excited. You are interested in the following dental procedures: Intra-oral scanning CBCT 3D printing Digital designing Photography The good news is that we are very invested in training, mentoring and developing your skills as a dental assistant. But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go: High school diploma, or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Learn and adapt to current technology needs Work independently and as part of a team Positive and helpful attitude Effective communication skills
