Requirements

Post-secondary certificate or degree in Dental Assisting or a related field, meeting Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) standards.
Active certification or licensure recognized by state and accrediting agencies, demonstrating professional competency.
1–2 years of professional experience in the dental field or instructional experience, with a preference for candidates who have both.
Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to fostering student success and engagement.
Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and professional growth.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in alignment with established course objectives and syllabi.
Prepare, organize, and maintain instructional materials, equipment, and learning spaces to support effective teaching.
Monitor student attendance, maintain accurate academic records, and submit grades in a timely manner.
Provide individualized tutoring and guidance to promote student success and address learning challenges.
Participate actively in departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development initiatives to enhance instructional effectiveness.
Ensure a clean, safe, and professional learning environment conducive to student engagement and success.
Report any incidents, concerns, or issues promptly to the appropriate authorities.
Adhere strictly to institutional policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards to maintain compliance and uphold educational quality.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission and objectives of the institution.
