Strittmatter Companies is a recognized leader in site development, demolition, and excavation throughout the DC Metropolitan region. As our demolition division continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Demolition Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple active job sites and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a senior field leadership role for a hands-on professional who can manage crews, coordinate with project teams, and take full ownership of day-to-day demolition operations. 🔨 Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all field operations for multiple demolition projects simultaneously Supervise foremen and field crews, setting clear expectations for safety, productivity, and quality Enforce all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, estimators, inspectors, and subcontractors Plan and sequence demolition activities to maintain schedules and budgets Conduct site walks, safety meetings, and toolbox talks Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of heavy equipment and tools Review project plans, specifications, and scopes to ensure accurate execution Troubleshoot field issues and proactively resolve challenges Maintain clear communication with clients, inspectors, and internal leadership Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to field leadership 🧠Qualifications & Experience Minimum 7–10 years of demolition experience , with at least 3–5 years in a Superintendent or senior supervisory role Strong knowledge of demolition methods, sequencing, and safety protocols Proven experience managing multiple crews and job sites Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills OSHA 30 certification (required or ability to obtain) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Experience working in active urban environments preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends as required 💼 What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Weekly pay Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (role dependent) Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Long-term stability with a growing, family-owned company Opportunity to play a key leadership role in a growing demolition division
