About The Position

Demos Host/Hostess Seasonal Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.25/hr to $20.30/hr depending on qualifications and experience Must be at least 18 years and older Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. Position Description: Interacting directly with customers at various service bars (Bakery, BBQ, Coffee, Deli, Demo, Fish, Ice Cream, Meat, and Produce) in handing out samples of various products. Answering customers questions about the sample and offering recommendations about product pairings. Managing pop up stations, as needed. Your day-to-day: Setting up your designated section for the dayMaintaining quality demos all day for customers to sample, working with department in replenishing products Answering questions about productsGreeting customers and engaging in conversationsCleaning equipment used for productLearning different items in each department
