About The Position

We are seeking warm, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Dementia Day team. This role is centered on companionship, engagement, and supportive supervision in a structured, uplifting daytime environment. CNAs play a key role in helping participants feel safe, valued, and connected through conversation, activities, and routine support. This is an ideal opportunity for CNAs who enjoy relationship-based care and want a consistent, low-clinical setting. Requirements

  • Current CNA certification in [State]
  • Friendly, patient, and compassionate personality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and positive in a busy group setting
  • Team-oriented with a reliable and supportive work ethic
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass background check and health screening requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in dementia care, adult day services, senior living, or memory care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with participants through conversation, companionship, and encouragement
  • Engage participants in group and one-on-one activities such as games, music, crafts, light exercise, and reminiscing
  • Help create a calm, structured, and welcoming daily routine
  • Offer reassurance and redirection using dementia-informed communication techniques
  • Observe participants for changes in mood, behavior, or condition and share observations with the care team
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment
  • Document participation and general observations as required
