About The Position

The Demand Planning & Commercial Operations Manager plays a critical role at the intersection of Sales, Supply Chain, and Business Planning. This position is responsible for translating market demand signals, sales performance, and retailer insights into accurate forecasting, demand plans, and operational alignment that support business growth and supply chain efficiency. Acting as a key partner to Sales, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership, this role ensures that market realities-including sell-through trends, inventory dynamics, product lifecycle changes, and retailer demand signals-are reflected in actionable demand plans and operational decisions. The successful candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of retail sales dynamics and supply chain planning. This individual must be able to convert data and market signals into clear forecasts, structured planning processes, and actionable insights that drive alignment across commercial and operational teams. This role is ideal for a professional who is equally comfortable analyzing sales trends and demand patterns, collaborating with major retail partners on forecast alignment, and working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure operational readiness and supply continuity.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, sales operations, or business planning roles.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proven experience managing forecasting processes and interpreting sales and demand data.
  • Practical understanding of retail sales dynamics, inventory management, and supply chain planning.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Ability to translate data and market signals into clear forecasts, actionable insights, and structured planning processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with demand planning systems, ERP platforms, or advanced reporting tools.
  • Background supporting major retail accounts or working within consumer goods or consumer electronics industries.
  • Experience with CPFR processes and retailer collaboration frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect demand planning insights to financial performance and business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the demand forecasting process for Home Theater products and Emerging Categories, ensuring demand plans reflect current sales performance, market conditions, and strategic business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine short-term and long-term demand forecasts using sell-through data, retailer insights, inventory levels, and historical trends.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, analyze variances, and proactively identify demand shifts that may impact supply chain planning and product availability.
  • Track weekly and daily sales performance across key accounts and channels to identify demand trends, emerging risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sell-through trends, and market conditions to ensure alignment between demand signals and operational planning.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support sales strategy, product lifecycle planning, and promotional activities.
  • Lead CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) discussions with major retail partners to align forecasts, review inventory levels, and address demand changes.
  • Collaborate with retail partners to improve forecast visibility, identify demand shifts early, and ensure strong in-stock performance.
  • Support retailer-specific demand planning initiatives that improve sell-through performance and inventory efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain rolling sell-in forecasts and demand plans by major accounts, incorporating market trends, promotional plans, and retailer inventory positions.
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to align demand forecasts with account strategies, promotional events, and product launches.
  • Continuously adjust plans based on evolving market signals and business priorities.
  • Lead regular cross-functional meetings with Sales, Supply Chain, and Order Management teams to review forecasts, demand risks, inventory levels, and action plans.
  • Ensure alignment between demand planning outputs and supply chain execution to support service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a central coordination point between commercial teams and operational planning teams.
  • Prepare and present regular forecast updates, variance analyses, and demand planning insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities impacting demand, inventory health, and revenue performance.
  • Support leadership decision-making through clear and actionable reporting.
  • Support the Director of Business Planning and Sales leadership in developing annual business plans, budgets, and market forecasts.
  • Contribute demand insights to long-term product strategy, category planning, and revenue forecasting.
  • Ensure demand planning outputs support broader company growth objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate demand planning workflows to identify opportunities for improved forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and operational alignment.
  • Develop improved reporting tools, dashboards, and planning frameworks that enhance data visibility and decision-making.
  • Promote standardized planning processes and stronger follow-up mechanisms across teams.
  • Document demand planning processes, planning assumptions, and cross-functional workflows to improve transparency and operational consistency.
  • Maintain clear process ownership, roles, and responsibilities across demand planning and forecasting activities.
  • Support the development of scalable planning frameworks that can adapt to business growth and category expansion.
