About The Position

Demand Planner - Erlanger, KY MAIN FUNCTION: This individual will report to the Demand Planning Manager for NA Nutrition. This is an intermediate level position which is part of the supply chain team. The position, acting as part of the team, will be responsible for owning and communicating the complete customer demand plan for the North American production locations they support. The Demand Plan will be communicated to the organization via a monthly Demand Review as a part of the S&OP process. The position will use critical thinking, data analytics, cross functional communication and other strategies to maintain, interpret and communicate the Demand Plan to the rest of the organization. Primary users of the Demand Plan include Procurement/Purchasing, Production Planning, Operations, Finance and Sales Leadership. The position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders in order to ensure that all customer requirements are met through efficient, cost effective Supply Chain execution. As an intermediate member of the supply chain team, this individual requires a higher level of strategic thinking, understanding of production capabilities, and employee development than an entry level position.

  • University degree in supply chain, data science, or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a supply chain or data analysis field
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and MRP system attributes
  • Ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions within a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to connect data from disparate systems using Microsoft Excel & Power BI

Responsibilities

  • Own the process of gathering, generating, formatting, analyzing and presenting S&OP data via a monthly Demand Review
  • Own the complete Demand Plan for any NA production location they support.
  • Interpret and explain the Demand Plan in an understandable manor to many individuals and teams with various backgrounds and reasons for accessing the information in the Demand Plan.
  • Maintains working knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, formulations and raw materials for all ADM NA locations.
  • Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and helps facilitate implementation of best practices
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of unique supply chain systems, processes, and MRP attributes
  • Seek and gather data from multiple internal and external sources to provide business solutions using various business tools (MAPICS, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • Help develop business case opportunities on strategic raw material, intermediate, and finished product positions
  • Actively participate and lead cross function teams focused on supply chain execution
  • Proficient understanding of all information systems and process connected to the supply chain value chain
  • Represents the demand planning team on focused customer and cross functional teams
  • Approach changing, challenging situations with focus on customer order fulfillment and ADM’s best interest
  • Understands and has strict adherence to corporate compliance policies & safety systems & programs
