Loading and unloading of merchandise at each scheduled stop in accordance with the delivery invoice or client receipt, as well as obtaining required signatures from the appropriate person. Responsible for the daily transfer route between all parts stores, Boland offices, and client locations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Must obtain Medical DOT Card(s) within 2 weeks of hire
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months of previous delivery driving experience
  • Personable, punctual, easy-going, approachable, prompt, adaptable to change, quick worker, stays on schedule
  • Detail-oriented, organized, problem solver, motivated, alert, self-starter, strong communication and writing skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HVAC or related business preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver goods to Boland Supply stores and clients
  • Determine the address where packages are being delivered
  • Check for potential damage and load merchandise
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle, add fluids (such as oil) as needed, check tires, brakes, lights, etc. as detailed on the daily vehicle checklist
  • Ensure the address on the package matches the delivery address, ensure the inventory load matches the shipping paperwork, and is secure in the vehicle
  • Review transfer paperwork, loading and unloading of supplies, parts, and interoffice mail.
  • Present receipts as required for deliveries and obtain required signatures
  • Pulling, staging, delivering, and unloading of parts, equipment, and supplies
  • Practice safe material handling techniques
  • During downtime required to assist the warehouse coordinator or at any of the parts store locations with activities such as receiving, stocking, and staging of merchandise, as well as clean-up of workspaces and other duties.
  • Monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays
  • Obey all traffic/street signs to the destination
  • Read and interpret maps and GPS directions
  • Other duties as assigned
