National Grid is hiring a Delivery Manager.  This role is designated as hybrid, with an expectation of one or two days per month in one of our offices. Requirements may vary based on business needs and company policy.  Job PurposeNational Grid is seeking a Delivery Manager in our Electric IT&D group to drive the planning, delivery and regulatory recovery of investments across one or more Value Streams within the Electric portfolio. This critical role ensures key projects and programs are managed effectively, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Managing a team of Project Managers and Analysts, the Delivery Manager will foster consistency and standardization across the team from a financial, resource, and risk management perspective, ensuring alignment between delivered work and agreed commitments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT investment experience focused on planning, scheduling, forecasting, milestone management, resourcing, risk management, and reporting
• 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Robust understanding of the cost and value drivers of IT and the impact on core operational functions
• Ability to manage complex and varied interpersonal relationships toward desired outcomes
• Strong customer and stakeholder management
• Attention to detail; ability to organize time and information to successfully manage competing priorities 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present detailed data while highlighting key points to facilitate effective Value Stream management and decision making
• Strong commitment to delivering results 
• Capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative, and effective problem-solving
• Bottom-line oriented, budget conscious, metric/measurement driven
• Demonstrable creative and critical thinking

Nice To Haves

• PMP certified
• Experience delivering in a SAFe framework
• Strong understanding of National Grid’s IT&D delivery methodologies
• Experience with financial modeling and regulatory recovery/allowance
• Electric product/project experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, financials, risk management, resourcing, reporting, and regulatory management across one or more Value Streams
• Ensure Value Stream investments are completed on time, within scope, and to agreed budget.
• Facilitate Value Stream sanctioning and regulatory rate case strategy, ensuring all compliance with processes and agreed artifacts.
• Collaborate with Operational partners, IT stakeholders, and project teams to ensure committed work is delivered to agreed standards.
• Manage relationships with external providers of IT products and services, including third-party consultants, software providers, and hardware suppliers.
• Manage dependencies across relevant resources, programs, and financials across the Electric Portfolio.
