The Delivery Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of feature work and project activities within and across development teams. This role ensures alignment on priorities, manages scope, tracks progress, manages risk, and facilitates communication among stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes on schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical, business, or related discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in project management, software delivery, or a related field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver products and programs on tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and/or traditional project management practices.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and technical concepts.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to improve project efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, automate routine tasks, and enhance stakeholder communication and reporting.
  • Highly organized and excels at communication and relationship building with partners across OCLC.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and proactively gather stakeholders to resolve challenges.
  • Facilitate discussions and drive consensus across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical acumen or experience in software development.
  • High attention to detail, including effective stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to prioritize well and communicate clearly.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, positive, and curious mindset.
  • Passion for creating innovative solutions and improving delivery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans including project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure agreed-upon feature scope is delivered while guarding against scope creep.
  • Facilitate prioritization meetings and review work lists with product, development, and stakeholders.
  • Identify, track, and communicate risks/issues; work with teams to resolve high impact issues and protect delivery outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze performance data (hours, velocities) to provide status and forecast completion.
  • Create dashboards and tracking artifacts (e.g., burndowns, structure boards) for metric-based status.
  • Review scorecards and collaborate with development management to improve metrics.
  • Manage resource planning and allocation for assigned teams, identifying and communicating resource constraints.
  • Lead change management discussions to evaluate and address scope, timeline, budget, and resource adjustments.
  • Attend and facilitate strategic meetings, including leadership alignment and development management meetings.
  • Coordinate with product and development teams to review and align on the product roadmap.
  • Regularly meet with other delivery managers and teams to plan, implement, and monitor cross-team work.
  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums and other cross team agile ceremonies as needed.
  • Provide stakeholders with updates on release status and track items scheduled for release.
  • Hold pre-release meetings to ensure alignment on release readiness.
  • Track financial performance, focusing on external spend and resource utilization.
