As a Delivery Manager , you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of daily delivery operations. This role provides direct leadership to delivery drivers and oversees dispatching, routing, and delivery logistics to ensure customer commitments are met while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and Company policies. You will serve as a key coordination point between Sales, Warehouse, Inventory Management, Accounting, and branch leadership to align priorities, improve performance, and continuously enhance delivery processes.

Requirements

Three to five years of experience in delivery, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations, including team leadership.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and delivery safety requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage front‑line employees in a fast‑paced operational environment.
Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience using routing systems, ERP/TMS tools, and basic operational reporting.
Ability to read, speak, understand, and write English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and supervise delivery drivers to ensure safe operations, strong customer service, and consistent performance.
Serve as a central coordination point between Sales, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Accounting, Drivers, and Customers to ensure delivery priorities and expectations are aligned.
Assume responsibility for daily dispatch operations, including route planning, load sequencing, and assignment of drivers.
Optimize delivery routes and schedules to improve efficiency, on-time delivery, and utilization of resources.
Monitor daily delivery execution and make real‑time adjustments to address absences, delays, service changes, or operational issues.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of delivery documentation, proof of delivery, and required paperwork.
Partner with warehouse and branch teams to align delivery schedules with order fulfillment and customer priorities.
Ensure drivers have the tools and information needed to execute deliveries safely and accurately, including clear paperwork, route expectations, and delivery details.
Oversee delivery execution from order release through proof of delivery, ensuring accuracy of documentation and timely communication with Accounting to protect company and customer financial interests.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of delivery documentation, proof of delivery, and required paperwork.
Oversee driver compliance with DOT regulations, Company safety policies, and required pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
Coordinate with leadership on fleet readiness, including vehicle availability, basic maintenance needs, and cleanliness standards.
Investigate delivery incidents, customer concerns, or safety issues and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Track and review delivery performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
