About The Position

Responsible for duties relating to effective and safe delivery of merchandise to store locations and customer sites within assigned job responsibility. Unload, stock, and load supplies/furniture for delivery. Assemble furniture, perform general maintenance and janitorial work.

Requirements

High School Education or Equivalent Desirable
Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record
Must be Able to Pass DOT Physical
Ability to Drive Vans/Straight Trucks and Manual Transmission
Ability to Lift 70 Pounds Repeatedly During the Day
Ability to Lift Heavier Objects with Cart and/or Assistance
Ability to Load/Unload Merchandise onto Vans/Trucks
Ability to Assemble and Install Furniture in Customer Facilities

Nice To Haves

6 Months Delivery/Warehouse Experience Preferred
Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Good Mechanical Aptitude

Responsibilities

Safely unload supplies/furniture and stock, as necessary, in warehouse area.
Properly load merchandise on trucks/vans.
Deliver, as assigned, to specific store/customer locations.
Perform rural and in-town deliveries as scheduled.
As necessary, assemble furniture for customers and for the sales floor.
Assist with carry-outs and checking in and stocking of heavy merchandise.
Help sales personnel load supplies/equipment as needed.
As instructed, assist with routine car and building maintenance, installation of large furniture shipments, and janitorial duties.
Prepare documentation relating to delivery promptly and accurately.
