About The Position

R-Dent Dental Lab is hiring a friendly PRN delivery driver to deliver dental products (eg crowns, bridges, dentures) to our customers as needed.
The driver will fill in for other drivers as needed in the Greater Memphis area. Routes are from 7:00am-3pm (or until job is done). Our delivery drivers are the face of the company to our customers, so it is important that each driver give the highest level of customer service to each of our customers. The driver will use a company car and cell phone as means of communicating with the lab and customers.
Shifts:
The route will be as needed when other regular drivers are out of the office.
Delivery hours are typically 7am-3:00pm (although the end time is flexible depending on each day's delivery load and customer needs).
This position is expected to average approximately 16-48 hours per month.
Route Specifics:
This role will be assisting our customers in various routes throughout the Greater Memphis area (eg Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi). No overnight travel. Routes are local and able to be driven within 8-hour time frame.
Compensation: $12/hour; PRN employees are not eligible for benefits unless they meet the eligibility requirements of the 401k plan.

Requirements

• Have a current Driver's License.
• Be familiar with local roads and able to use safely a map or GPS to navigate unfamiliar areas.

Responsibilities

• Be courteous, friendly, and helpful to all customers at all times.
• Drive safely at all times & follow all traffic laws.
• Deliver correct dental products to customers on time.
• Keep your delivery vehicle clean and notify Manager of any scheduled maintenance due or problems with the vehicle's performance.
• Exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills when making decisions on delivery times.
