WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Fleet Supervisor, this position is responsible for driving trucks to pick up and deliver products, and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Requirements

  • CDL CLASS A REQUIRED
  • Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Requires on-the-job training to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and drives a variety of trucks including doubles, T & T semis.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Washington Class A driver’s license and a good driving record, and be certified to operate a forklift.
  • Regular attendance is required

Nice To Haves

  • Class A with endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fills out log books, worksheets and reports.
  • Secures loads with ropes, straps, brick boards and tarps.
  • Determines types of equipment to be used for jobs.
  • Transports products to customers, stores, yards and jobsites.
  • Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
  • Maintains and fuels trucks and performs inspections on equipment.
  • Maintains work area according to company standards for cleanliness.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required.
