About The Position

The Delivery Driver/Access Control role supports security and safety within our operations by splitting time between access control duties at the facility and delivering products to dispensaries. This position is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of all cannabis and dispensary‑intended merchandise, maintaining professional conduct at all times, collecting and communicating payment methods, and closing out daily delivery tasks with the Assistant General Manager. Drivers typically work independently but may occasionally partner with other Access Control & Delivery Drivers. When performing access control duties, this role protects company property, employees, and visitors by opening gates, checking in and escorting visitors, monitoring facility cameras, receiving deliveries, and providing security procedures and guidance to DCM Inc. employees. Requirements

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 25 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
  • We ask that you have a clean driving record.
  • We ask that you have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience.
  • Willing and able to work after normal business hours as it pertains to longer delivery routes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily visual inspections of the facility's transportation vehicle.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and secure manner.
  • Responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOP), operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
  • Verify accuracy of METRC manifest and load all deliveries according to stop location into vehicle daily.
  • Follow all safety protocol while on site and abide by the road safety protocol while on routes.
  • Unload and deliver all product boxes and abide by customers protocols while on site at their location.
  • Collect payments, verify payment method, and communicate with Assistant General Manager.
  • Maintain accurate data petty cash logs and a clean and organized work vehicle.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance schedule to include oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, etc.
  • Patrols and monitors activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
  • Monitors gated entrance and logs visitor information
  • Receives and records deliveries, ensures accurate documentation, and stores inventory in designated locations.
  • Reports suspicious activity to General Manager and ensures appropriate staff is notified in a timely manner
  • Ensures constant contact with General Manager and other security officers and responds to emergency calls immediately
  • Escorting vendors entering the building
  • Assists fire and police officials with safety drills and/or emergency situations
  • Monitors CCTV systems for suspicious activity throughout the facility and outside
  • Provides detailed reports on daily activities and incidents to management
  • Contacts law enforcement or fire department in the event of an emergency
  • After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
  • Investigating reports of suspicious activity on the property
  • Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
  • Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
  • Complete all daily duties on time and willing to accept additional job duties and responsibilities.
  • Flex to other departments to assist as needed and allowed within the production schedule.
  • Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.
  • All other duties as necessary.
