About The Position

The Delivery & Demand Manager plays a vital role within the Delivery or Platform team, managing demands from multiple business areas on a regular basis. This role collaborates closely with Technical Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, Testers, Stakeholders, and the centralized Demand Team to ensure demands are accurately estimated, planned, and coordinated. The position requires delivering excellent service to internal customers and stakeholders while working within various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.). What you'll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Manage demand intake processes for the Delivery/Platform team, ensuring requests are properly documented, prioritized, and estimated and providing estimation input to Global Technology's centralized Demand process. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and organizational stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating project status effectively. Collaborate with relevant teams to gather and validate estimates for applications and products, supporting accurate planning and resource allocation. A keen ability to execute and deliver results, including delivering technical projects on time and on budget through planning, execution, and delivery. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to prevent delays or quality issues. Support resolution of delivery obstacles promptly. Assist in balancing workload and resource distribution across teams to optimize efficiency and meet commitments. Evaluate environmental changes and maintenance actions, assessing their impact on current and future delivery. Track deliverables, support contract negotiations, and ensure vendor activities align with project timelines and quality standards. Create reports, documentation, and presentations for training, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder updates. Maintain and monitor service levels, address variances proactively, and ensure adherence to internal procedures and audit requirements. Foster outstanding relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to improve delivery processes and foster enduring partnerships. You will report to the Delivery Lead.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including managing expectations and providing regular updates.
  • Extensive experience in planning, executing, and delivering large-scale initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Robust understanding of Agile methodologies and adaptable to different project management approaches.
  • Experience in vendor management, including negotiations and outcome-based contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think quickly, prioritize effectively, and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering value.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
  • Understanding of cloud application delivery and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with security concepts and governance strategies.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and project management tools.
