As the Deli Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Prepared Foods and Deli department.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a deli or prepared foods department, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong product knowledge, basic knife skills, and familiarity with deli equipment.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with email, basic ordering systems, and scheduling tools (training provided).
  • Food Safety: Sanitation & Food Safety certification preferred (we’ll help you get certified if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Opening Duties: Prepare the department for business each day—cleaning, restocking, checking for expired items, and merchandising displays.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support front-of-house deli staff, assist with training, and foster a positive, customer-first culture.
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers, answer questions, offer product recommendations, and ensure a high-quality shopping experience.
  • Product Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory; ensure products are properly priced, labeled, and displayed.
  • Food Prep & Safety: Use deli equipment (slicers, ovens, fryers), maintain sanitation standards, and follow food safety protocols.
  • Inventory & Technology: Participate in monthly inventory counts and use basic tech tools for ordering, scheduling, and communication.
