About The Position

Kowalski Companies is a civic business. We have been family-owned since 1983, when Jim and Mary Kowalski opened the first location on Grand Ave. in St. Paul. Part of being a civic business means we focus on ensuring sustainability and providing the best possible customer service. Kowalski’s deli is a fast-paced, high customer service department. An ideal deli associate is inviting and service minded. They also are in alignment with adhering to state health code standards for safety and sanitation, ensuring service of the highest quality and freshest ready-to-serve foods. Deli associates are responsible for building right relationships with their coworkers and customers through transparent and respectful communication, teamwork and problem-solving. No experience is required! Kowalski’s provides extensive, in-person, hands-on training that thoroughly educates new employees on how to perform their jobs safely, quickly, and efficiently. Store Hours: 6 am - 10 pm Deli Hours: 5 am - 9 pm

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to be scheduled 18-28 hours/week
Must be able to work both Morning & Mid-Shifts:
Must have scheduling availability/flexibility for x3 Opening Shifts (6 am - 2 pm)
Must have scheduling availability/flexibility for x3 Mid-Shifts (9 am - 5 pm)
Must be available for Mid-Shifts on both Sunday & Monday weekly
Must be able to work 2 out of the 3 weekend days (Friday - Sunday) year-round
Holiday availability required
Ensure quality and safety of food
Comfortable speaking to customers in an energetic and helpful manner
Ability to work independently
Interest in preparing, handling, and cooking food
Interest in product knowledge
Understand that you have the power to impact customers and coworkers day in a positive way
