THE ROLE The Retail Sales Enablement team’s goal is to leverage the entire distribution platform to best equip our client facing teams with the tools and resources to drive sales through data and contribute to the success in the channel. The Defined Contribution Strategist will work closely with the Retail Leadership team in aligning to our strategic initiatives and achieving sales goals by utilizing data insights and intelligence. The individual will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Retail marketplace and our clients, prospects and strategic accounts. The person will also be a representative of MFS’s Retail Sales Enablement team attending and speaking at industry events, forums and symposiums focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of client facing teams. The individual will focus on maximizing and deepening client knowledge through the integration of our existing and 3rd party data sources and maximize ROI for our sales teams. The position will help to leverage data and insights to ultimately drive sales across the Retail teams, align with our strategic initiatives to be a trusted and aligned partner to our clients' prospects and strategic accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6-8+ years of industry and Retail experience.
  • Possess excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate, interact and communicate across all aspects of the firm and different stakeholders.
  • Expectation to travel.
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63.
  • FINRA Series 24 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business plan focused on territory knowledge and understanding, uncovering new relationships and deepen sales through data across existing relationships. A key focus is on increasing market share by enabling the Retail team to focus and align resources and effort within their area of coverage.
  • Integrate and utilize existing and 3rd party data sources to build out models for the sales/rm/strategic accounts teams to follow in alignment with segmentation work across clients, prospects and strategic accounts.
  • Provide strong expertise in the marketplace data and be a thought leader and representative of MFS’s Retail Sales Enablement team. Attend industry events, forums and symposiums.
  • Collaborate with external and internal sales teams to assist in interpreting the data to drive sales. Limited travel to drive adoption.
  • Create structures to drive operational excellence around data and ensure the needs of the sales/rm/strategic accounts teams are factored in.
  • Cultivate a network of Sales Enablement peers outside of MFS to identify industry trends, data sourced best practices, and gaps in MFS’s tech and tools and data sources to excel in a competitive market.
  • Proactively, collaborate and align with Global Strategic Accounts and Product to collaborate on data efforts.
  • Assist marketing in digital strategy by helping them focus on the most beneficial relationships for MFS. Bespoke efforts in certain market segments with a deep understanding of the client to connect opportunity with the best digital array.
  • Using multiple internal and external data sources, build out and oversee campaigns for the Retail team to achieve OKRs and maximize delivery and results with the tools and technology available to continuously enhance relationships and client/prospect strategic accounts knowledge.
  • Identify gaps and enhance the data tools for Retail.
