About the Role The Defined Benefit Client Manager (DB CM) is responsible for overseeing daily operational performance for assigned client(s). They manage operations teams to provide quality administrative services and collaborate with support areas such as technology and customer care. Additionally, the DB CM serves as the primary contact for clients regarding daily service delivery. They will also assist the Senior Client Manager/Client Leader in delivering top-notch solutions.

Requirements

  • Have effective communication and influencing skills on domain and technical matters, internally and externally.
  • Have experience with Canadian pensions and plan provisions.
  • Possess analytical abilities and attention to detail when working with complex data.
  • Have a solutions-oriented focus and ability to report data to stakeholders.
  • Have advanced management and organizational skills with ability to adapt to change.
  • Bachelor’s degree (business context preferred) or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing expert knowledge of Canadian Defined Benefits to interpret complex client requirements.
  • Addressing questions related to unique situations, participant inquires, client escalations and requirements.
  • Driving stable and consistent delivery from internal and external partners. Also using data to influence standardization and process innovation.
  • Managing ad hoc client projects such as de-risking, spins, freezes and acquisitions.
  • Validating, managing and communicating system testing results with clients
  • Working to identify opportunities for reducing demand and improving efficiency, creating cost savings opportunities and increasing delivery quality.
  • Communicating regularly with day-to-day client contact on delivery and projects.
  • Acting as point of contact to internal groups such as Customer Care and supporting services for client specific items.
