About The Position

Crow Holdings is a diversified investment firm with a core focus on real estate, energy, and defense. The company is expanding its efforts in the growing defense sector, with an investment approach that favors essential infrastructure, services, and "pick and shovel" capabilities supporting reindustrialization, national security, and defense readiness. The firm has built sector knowledge and partnerships through fund investments and aims to become a major player in this space. Crow Holdings is seeking a seasoned private investment professional with a proven track record in developing industry expertise, establishing relationships, securing opportunities, building processes from scratch, and underwriting and executing defense industry investments. This role is crucial for driving both the strategic and operational aspects of the firm's investment activity and will be a high-visibility contributor to the buildout of the new defense vertical. The position will be based in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required
• 5-10 years of relevant investment experience
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within the investment community
• Patient and deliberate decision-maker
• Collaborative and team-oriented
• Driven to build an important business activity for the firm
• Engaged in the broader Dallas business and civic community while maintaining national insights and connectivity
• Ability to cultivate trust and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders; effectively represent the culture, interests and priorities of the firm
• Excellent communicator with ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Represent the company with highest level of integrity; professional and diplomatic in all actions
• Demonstrate continuous curiosity, engagement, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence
• Domestic and international travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio aligned with strategic industry considerations, reflecting our firm’s broader reach, access and market position
• Focus on direct investing with activities based on the deployment of firm capital, as opposed to a fund management model
• Initially invest in direct minority and influence investments, developing relevant focus and expertise that will serve as a strong foundation as sector investments scale over time
• Primary focus on mid and lower middle market opportunities
• Collaborate extensively to build and enhance the firm’s presence within the defense industry landscape
• Utilize a patient approach to develop the platform over time
