Defense Mission Global Force Management Analyst The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. As a defense mission expert, you’ll bring your analysis on organizational capacity, recommendations on source solutions, and management assistance of force generation background to work on projects enhancing Joint and Marine Air Ground Task Force readiness. You’ll analyze products in support of Service sponsored quarterly Force Synchronization Conferences (FSC) and Force Management Summits (FMS), including Risk-to-Force and Risk-to-Mission, Deployment-to-Dwell, and Marine Corps Risk Matrix analysis. You’ll help identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes, and make informed recommendations regarding the alignment of Man-Train-Equip efforts in accordance with higher headquarter requirements and the current capabilities and readiness of the units sourced. You'll impact the work we do for Headquarters Marine Corps, Deputy Commandant, Plans, Policies, and Operations, and Marines worldwide. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process or Military Decision-Making Process
  • Experience with Service level global force management
  • Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)
  • Experience at the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), Fleet, or Major Subordinate Command level
  • Knowledge of Headquarters Marine Corps organization
  • Ability to develop products, briefs, and orders and analyze policy at an executive level
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience with Naval Integration, Joint Operations, or Expeditionary Operations, including Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU), Special Purpose MAGTF (SPMAGTF), and Purpose-Built Task Forces (PBTFs)
  • 5+ years of experience with Marine Air Ground Task Force man, train and equip, and force generation
  • Experience in working with the Defense Readiness Reporting System
  • Ability to clearly advise and communicate to senior leaders

Responsibilities
