About The Position

Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is looking for a Defect Analyst to join their industry leading Nalco Water team. This role is for a passionate technical professional that enjoys interacting with customers and likes to work in an autonomous, hands-on environment. You will be joining a talented team that monitors and maintains a variety of air and water quality systems pertaining to the paint booth at an automotive manufacturing site. In this position you will provide customers with problem solving support, generating a high level of customer satisfaction. They work with customers across the world in the light industry (institutional, food & beverage, transportation and manufacturing), heavy industry (chemical, power and primary metals industries), paper and mining operations to reduce, reuse, and recycle their water while protecting their systems and equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Strong customer service skills; proven ability to interface positively and professionally with the customer
  • Ability to analyze readings and put data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner
  • Possess above-average verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to explain results of data gatherings

Responsibilities

  • Daily defect counts, collection, analysis, and report out
  • Weekly report building and presentation to a group
  • Daily interactions with site personnel following up on findings
  • Action items building to produce countermeasures for any out of spec. items
  • Daily shop walks to inspect the system
  • Conduct meetings with the customer
  • Working with a team to problem solve top defect issues
  • Computer data entry-skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
