About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for supervising and coordinating comprehensive maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automated control systems in an offshore oil and gas environment. This leadership role ensures maintenance programs are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The Lead Maintenance Technician provides technical oversight, mentors maintenance personnel, and plays a key role in developing and maintaining long‑term maintenance strategies to ensure reliability and operational excellence. Candidates should be open to international rotational assignments on a 28‑day on / 28‑day off schedule, as required.

Requirements

  • This position is for a future opportunity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in an offshore environment
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in maintenance operations
  • High Voltage certification
  • Valid TWIC card

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical experience in telecommunications or related systems

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Leadership & Oversight
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automated control systems.
  • Ensure all utility and support systems on the platform are properly maintained and organized.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to maintenance personnel.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication within the maintenance team.
  • Planning & Reliability
  • Develop and implement I&E maintenance plans.
  • Develop maintenance programs for: I&E equipment Turbine and gas compressors Generators and gas/diesel generator systems Reciprocating equipment including pumps and compressors
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and system performance.
  • Safety, Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain a strong safety‑oriented mindset and enforce strict adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Complete all mandatory paperwork and documentation required by customers and government agencies.
