About The Position

Overview The Deepwater Electrician A is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical equipment and safety systems in an offshore production environment. This role requires advanced technical knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety requirements, along with the ability to work independently and lead electrical activities on assigned platforms. The Electrician A maintains current knowledge of government, company, and client‑specific policies, codes, and regulations and serves as a key technical resource for both Danos leadership and client representatives. Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills are essential. Candidates should be open to international rotational assignments on a 28‑day on / 28‑day off schedule, as required. Responsibilities Electrical Systems & Operations Maintain and manage all electrical systems to support safe and efficient offshore operations. Maintain all electrical equipment, including safety and critical shutdown systems. Serve as the primary authority for electrical equipment and switching devices on assigned platforms. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace faulty wiring and electrical components including relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and position‑sensing devices. Troubleshoot and repair end devices associated with PLC and DCS systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems. Controls & Technical Expertise Demonstrate proficiency with electrical controls of various types. Read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics and logic diagrams. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues independently or identify required technical resources. Maintain familiarity with production equipment and understand operational functionality. Safety, Compliance & Documentation Maintain current knowledge of government, company, and client policies, codes, and regulations. Ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures and requirements. Maintain required safety documentation and data records. Receive written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions and determine appropriate work actions. Prepare written work orders for maintenance, repair, installation, and testing activities performed by other personnel. Leadership & Communication Work independently with minimal supervision on all electrical systems. Demonstrate leadership and team‑building skills. Communicate effectively and professionally with client representatives and Danos supervisors. Qualifications This position is for an exciting future opportunity

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid TWIC card

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 10 years of electrical experience preferred, offshore experience strongly desired
  • Medium and high voltage experience preferred
  • Current 30 CFR 250, Subpart O Safety System certificate (offshore only)
  • Appropriate electrical licenses and certifications
