About The Position

The Deductions Specialist will manage a specified territory categorized by Independent Sales Representatives. This role involves resolving pricing claims and deductions by validating customer debit memos against system support while directly collaborating with customers and sales representatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation, Credit Analysis.
  • Knowledge of vendor communication, chargeback, aging reports, and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a specified territory categorized by Independent Sales Representatives.
  • Resolve pricing claims and deductions by validating customer debit memos against system support.
  • Collaborate directly with customers and representatives.
  • Coordinate with QC, Shipping, and Sales on claims, and schedule pick-up of requested return material when necessary.
  • Issue credit and debit memos within 24-48 hours of receipt of goods.
  • Support adjustments with proper validation and documentation.
  • Manage freight claims by providing raw material scrap values and tracking reclaimed materials.
  • Process and track commission deductions as needed.
  • Run reports and manage unresolved chargebacks and deductions.
  • Collect unearned discounts when necessary.
  • Provide support to other team members in their absence.
