About The Position

Incumbent is part of team that assists with Productivity, Benchmarking and Labor Management improvement efforts through education, training, analysis and coaching on all workforce planning initiatives. Assist with the development of budget, benchmarking, productivity metrics, and data extract. Actively work with leaders to determine labor opportunities and serve as a liaison to operationally support and link support areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Operations. Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures. Works with cost center leaders to identify opportunities for efficiencies; utilizes project management skills to prioritize and implement tools, processes, and other initiatives; establishes metrics and benchmarks to measure progress and success. Incumbent reviews internal and external trend analyses and effectively identifies corrective measures as needed. Provides for the measurement and benchmarking of business operations in relation to best business practices for the healthcare industry and internal business objectives.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent skills in reading, analyzing, and interpreting labor management, benchmarking and productivity tools
  • Evidence of sound critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Decision Support Systems and subsystems
  • Demonstrated advanced level of analytical skill
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to anticipate questions and address information needs by providing comprehensive analyses
  • 3 years of experience in a hospital based environment or related industry working with labor productivity metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an academic medical center or complex teaching environment
  • Master‘s degree in business administration, health administration, CPA, or other relevant degree program
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
