Removes burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts using hand tools, power tools, and deburring equipment in accordance with work instructions and quality standards. Inspects parts visually and dimensionally to ensure surfaces meet drawing, blueprint, and customer specifications. Reads and interprets blueprints, routers, work orders, and quality documentation to determine deburring requirements. Uses measuring and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part conformance. Maintains part integrity by ensuring deburring processes do not alter critical dimensions, tolerances, or surface finishes. Follows established safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Documents completed work as required, including production counts, inspection results, and nonconformances. Communicates quality issues, damaged parts, or process concerns to supervisors, quality, or engineering personnel in a timely manner. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards. Supports production schedules by completing work efficiently while meeting quality and delivery requirements. Performs basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and report maintenance needs as necessary. Works collaboratively with machinists, inspectors, and supervisors to support continuous improvement efforts. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate. Performs other duties as assigned.
