About The Position

The Deburring Specialist is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined, punched, laser-cut, or fabricated metal parts to ensure parts meet quality, safety, and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in final part quality, downstream assembly, and overall production flow.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and hand tool experience
Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required
Willingness to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience deburring machined, laser-cut, punched, or fabricated metal parts
Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges
Experience working with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, or other metals
Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards

Responsibilities

Remove burrs, sharp edges, slag, and surface defects from metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and/or deburring equipment
Read and interpret work orders, prints, and quality requirements
Inspect parts visually and with basic measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications
Perform secondary finishing operations such as sanding, grinding, polishing, brushing, or tumbling
Maintain consistent quality and finish standards across parts
Identify and communicate quality issues, defects, or recurring problems to supervisors or quality personnel
Handle parts safely to prevent damage or injury
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs
