About The Position

The Deburring Specialist is expected to perform all operational requirements to facilitate the safe removal of burrs, sharp edges, and the surface preparation of products on time and to print specifications. Contributes to a positive work culture, builds strong relationships, and embodies the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes work as assigned and follows the daily work schedule. Follows established deburring practices. Sets up deburring work; edges, sands, drills and knifes manifolds; uses compressed air. Prepares and maintains hand tools and sanding equipment. Visually inspects work and quality of parts. Assists in writing non-conformance reports when necessary. Reviews standard cycle times and actual cycle times. Safely operates a forklift. Ensures machine shop is clean and orderly. Complies with all JEM policies and procedures, including ISO, OSHA, and AWAIR requirements. Supports JEM’s vision and mission and exemplifies JEM’s core values daily. M Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to: wet or humid conditions (non-weather) work near moving mechanical parts work in high, precarious places fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals outdoor weather conditions risk of electrical shock and vibration noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Previous experience in deburring role and/or with hand tools
