About The Position

Join our team as a Debt Resolutions Specialist (Collector) at Interior Federal! We are looking for a dedicated individual to assist with our loan processes and ensure excellent member service.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years of similar or related experience
• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Skills: Strong communication and conflict‑resolution abilities
• Proficient computer, keyboarding, and 10‑key skills
• Ability to lift or pull up to 25 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Symitar preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage delinquent loan accounts, collect past‑due payments, and coordinate collateral recovery
• Process charge‑offs and escalate significant issues to the Debt Resolutions Supervisor
• Monitor and work daily Overdraft Privilege Program (ODP) reports
• Partner with members and collection agencies to set up Fresh Start arrangements and post payments
• Respond to credit bureau disputes and maintain accurate documentation and account records
