About The Position

The Debone Operator position is responsible for processing and deboning broilers in a research processing plant for data collection and R&D projects. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:00pm to 2:00am, though hours may vary depending on business needs. Requirements

  • Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
  • Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Animal Welfare Guidelines
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must use safe lifting techniques
  • Must regularly lift equipment that is 10-30 pounds
  • Required to use wheeled dollies to move up to 300 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use left and right hands to grab/handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear
  • Must be able to grasp objects steadily
  • Must have full dexterity of left and right hand while using them simultaneously
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus
  • Expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment
  • Expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks

Responsibilities

  • Comply to SOPs to safely process and debone birds
  • Ensure all processes are performed accurately for proper data collection
  • May be assigned to any position from live hang, evisceration or deboning, or swapping among these positions in the same day
  • Operate a high pressure and regular water hose and maintain a clean and organized work area or comply to specific guidelines for specific R&D projects
