The Dean of Health Professions is charged with establishing, implementing, and evaluating the strategic priorities of the School of Health Professions. The Dean reports directly to the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and provides leadership to the program directors, faculty, and staff in the School of Health Professions. The School of Health Professions includes graduate programs in Counseling, Nursing Practice, and Nurse Anesthesia. Beginning in 2026-2027, the school will also include the undergraduate KIN program, with plans for future additional undergraduate programming. Working with the program directors, the Dean is responsible for the school’s overall academic program quality, assessment of curriculum and instruction, fostering faculty research and scholarship, budgeting and fiscal management, fundraising, and new program development. Successful candidates must possess a record of academic and scholarly excellence that meets or exceeds the University’s criteria for appointment as a full professor.
