About The Position

At Dean Dorton, the Manager of Accounts Receivable Services plays a key leadership role in our Healthcare Solutions practice. This position is responsible for managing high-quality, outsourced revenue cycle services to medical practice clients, with a focus on accounts receivable performance. This role combines operational oversight, client relationship management, team leadership, and strategic business support. You will lead a team of billing professionals in both project based assignments and ongoing AR management, serve as the primary client contact, and ensure performance metrics are met or exceeded across engagements. A core component of this role includes identifying process improvements, supporting business growth, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, with a focus on A/R.
  • Prior experience managing client relationships and leading service delivery teams.
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required or Demonstrated experience successfully leading a team and managing multiple client accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding accounts receivable (A/R) management services.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships through consistent communication, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Oversee end-to-end A/R processes, including claims follow-up, denial management, and collections performance.
  • Monitor, interpret, and present A/R metrics and key performance indicators to clients and internal leadership.
  • Identify revenue cycle trends, issues, and opportunities to improve collections and reduce days in A/R.
  • Support business development by participating in client prospect meetings, conferences, and related networking opportunities.
  • Lead onboarding of new A/R clients, ensuring seamless transition and alignment with service expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal operations and billing teams to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Recommend, design, and implement standard operating procedures and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to team members to support development and performance.
  • Work closely with credentialing and other service lines to ensure coordinated client service delivery.
