About The Position

The Dealer Relationship Program Manager develops and manages relationships with automobile dealerships to drive loan originations and grow the Bank’s auto lending portfolio. This role promotes the Bank’s indirect loan products, provides training and support to dealer partners, and ensures compliance with Bank policies and standards. Collaborating with auto lending leadership, the Program Manager identifies new platforms and channels to expand the dealer network and optimize performance. By leveraging market insights and fostering strong partnerships, this role supports a high-performing, customer-focused culture aligned with the Bank’s consumer lending goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of experience in auto finance, indirect lending, or dealer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of lending principles, loan documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination or dealer management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within CA, OR, and WA.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in auto lending or financial services relationship management.
  • Prior experience working with credit unions, community banks, or mission-driven financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with indirect lending platforms (e.g., Dealertrack, RouteOne, CUDL) and related technologies.
  • Proven success in business development and meeting or exceeding sales or origination targets.
  • Working knowledge of Fair Lending, UDAAP, and other consumer compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with auto dealerships across CA, OR, and WA to promote the Bank’s indirect loan programs.
  • Serves as the primary contact for dealers, providing guidance, support, and communication on products, policies, and updates.
  • Identifies and recruits new dealership partners to expand market presence and loan volume.
  • Promotes the Bank’s financing products through outreach, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Partners with Consumer Lending leadership to develop and execute strategies that meet growth goals.
  • Trains dealership staff on loan products, systems, and compliance requirements, including Fair Lending and UDAAP.
  • Provides tools and education to help dealers effectively present financing options to customers.
  • Monitors dealer performance and market trends to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Tracks and reports monthly results, KPIs, and dealer performance metrics to leadership.
  • Ensures compliance with the Bank’s Dealer Monitoring policies.
  • Serves as liaison to resolve loan processing, funding, or service issues.
  • Collaborates with Operations and Legal on complex matters such as delinquencies, buy-backs, or fraud.
  • Maintains accurate records and ensures compliance with Bank policies, BSA/AML, and regulatory standards.
  • Completes all mandatory compliance training on time.
  • The position performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.
