About The Position

The Dealer Performance Manager is responsible for driving dealership performance and income development through strategic consultation, relationship management, and operational support for strategic partners. The Dealer Performance Manager role analyzes key performance metrics, developing tailored action plans, and delivering training to improve dealer profitability and efficiency. The DPM leads solution development and presentation, coordinates dealership launches and maintains ongoing engagement through field visits and performance reviews. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills, deep F&I industry knowledge, and the ability to travel frequently (70-80%) to support dealer success in assigned geography.

Responsibilities

  • Lead dealership performance analysis by evaluating product penetration and income trends to identify profit gaps and develop strategic solutions.
  • Present performance improvement strategies and profit-gap analyses to dealership leadership, often in collaboration with senior executives.
  • Oversee dealership launch planning and execution, including marketing strategy, pricing alignment, and menu integration, ensuring readiness and success.
  • Direct ongoing field engagement.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with dealership leadership to foster long-term engagement and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to influence product development and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Manage onboarding and development of new F&I managers, providing strategic coaching and ensuring compliance with process standards.
  • Facilitate performance review meetings across multiple stores, analyzing results, recognizing trends, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report dealership progress, synthesizing visit outcomes and performance data to inform leadership decisions.
  • Develop and implement business plans that align with dealership goals and corporate profitability targets.
