About The Position

Dealer Account Managers are responsible for assisting current and future dealer partners in selling more cars and trucks by insuring their assets and increasing sales profits through the right finance or preload product combination. This challenging and dynamic position offers a highly incentivized performance-based compensation package and opportunities for advancement. As a Dealer Account Manager with Cartel, you will educate and train current Dealer partners in an assigned area, acquire new sources and contacts, and manage all sales activities and account development for dealers within your assigned region. You will also manage the quality and consistency of product and service delivery. This fast-paced role requires a consultative sales and management approach, with each manager overseeing their own dealer base to ensure proper usage of the Insure Express program. The role requires highly motivated and dedicated candidates comfortable working in a field environment and traveling in a local market.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in Sales
  • Presentation skills (from initial creation to delivery)
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques
  • Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology
  • Goal oriented with a desire for improvement and advancement
  • Able to communicate and work amicably with diverse teams
  • Significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Previous Outside Sales Experience, (preferred)
  • College degree (preferred or equivalent work experience)
  • Personal Lines insurance license is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare presentations and proposals to communicate company products and services to all levels of management within Independent and Franchise Dealerships
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts assigned to you
  • Follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in both independent and franchise dealers
  • Develop, maintain and grow current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise Dealer communities
  • Constant and effective communication via phone and in-person visits with dealer partners to train on current programs
  • Provide solutions, training and responses to developments in this quickly evolving market
  • Training in both insurance verification and finance sales
