The Office of Disability Determination Services (DDS) in the Department for Children and Families (DCF) administers the Social Security Disability program in Vermont. We are seeking an individual to serve as technical expert in all aspects of DDS IT systems administration, case processing systems, LAN administration, and network infrastructure. The preferred candidate will have experience in the following areas: Microsoft Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, MS Exchange, laptop and server hardware and imaging, file security, SQL, M365, and general knowledge of applications using AI. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability to effectively collaborate with colleagues who have diverse backgrounds to build and foster positive working relationships. The position also interacts with many outside stakeholders, including SSA, vendors and state systems personnel. Must be able to communicate and interact directly with management and employees at varying degrees of system skill sets as well as varying levels of authority. Conflicting priorities and operational problems must be anticipated; competing priorities and tight deadlines are a frequent occurrence.
