About The Position

Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities who are referred by the Department of Developmental Services. Our mission is to provide homes that are safe, nurturing, and address the individual’s personal needs and preferences. Every individual in an Open Sky residential program is encouraged to play an active role in community life, whether it be by volunteering, taking classes, participating in group outings, or joining a health club. Our dedicated staff ensures that individuals have the necessary supports and skills to build a successful and satisfying life in the community and enable the individuals we serve to lead meaningful and active lives. The Division Director will be responsible for the oversight of multiple DDS Residential Programs in the North County and Worcester areas. They will hire, supervise, and evaluate Program Coordinators in the management of their respective programs and ensure that the residential programs meet licensing and other accreditation standards. The Division Director also acts as the gatekeeper between the organization, community, and funders to ensure a smooth referral process for individuals served and works with the funding sources to ensure coordination of service delivery. Other Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with all members of the Trans-Disciplinary team to ensure sufficient supports, which maximize the success and satisfaction of the individuals and families served. Assist the agency trainers and the program coordinators in the development, implementation and monitoring of systems designed to achieve consumer rehabilitation goals and program goals and objectives. Develop and support program structures through direct supervision of coordinators, involvement in program team meeting, and consumer meetings as necessary. Assess, teach, and monitor staff application of program structures through supervision of the program coordinators and direct observation of staff activities. Monitor program budgets in conjunction with the fiscal manager and the director of community support services. Make changes and develop corrective actions as necessary Participate in on call coverage.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in one of the behavioral sciences, preferred. Alternate education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human service management, preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
