Due to the custom nature of the equipment, the Controls Engineer will gain valuable experience in many design disciplines. Training is provided on-site by our experienced team of Engineers.

Requirements

  • Application of control loops to provide machine control
  • Programming for controllers (DDC/PLC)
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated problem solver & team player
  • Ability to successfully plan work to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of HVAC Systems
  • B.S. In Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 5 years of experience in Data Center controls & diagrams.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical knowledge 3 phase power systems desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with design & testing of completed systems
  • Research new controls solutions such as sensors, actuators, VFDs, and networks.
  • Develops custom air handler solutions by selecting components, generating schematic drawings, and preparing parts lists.
  • Supports new product development with conceptual designs and layouts, as needed.
  • Develops controls programs for complex air handlers and heat transfer systems.
  • Participate in Kaizen and other cross functional teams to improve designs.
  • RFE Support with updating existing systems.
  • Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through improved product design / design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Technical Support of products after shipping.
  • Up to 25% travel.
