About The Position

Looking for experience in local city government? This opportunity might be for you. The Business Operations Intern will support the development, organization, and rollout of a comprehensive Customer Support Strategy for the Planning Department. This includes assisting with the Customer Experience Engagement Program, conducting a needs assessment based on focus group sessions feedback, coordinating the positioning and elevation of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), on an as/need basis - assisting other team members with project rollouts, assessing use of technology to elevate team’s position with projects and programs within the department and throughout the City. Intern might have the opportunity to collaborate on projects with other interns in other areas. This role could be ideal for a student whose major is undeclared, or one who is interested in exploring public administration, operations, business management or a business-related field, communications, sociology, process design marketing, education, etc.,.

Responsibilities
