About The Position

Cycle Counting associates in the Inventory Control Department are responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular, scheduled counts of stock, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that physical inventory levels match records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). You'll also get to: Use computers, handheld scanners, and other tools to accurately track inventory movement, update stock data, and document all counting activities and findings. Perform cycle counts on items/locations to verify quantity accuracy. Make accurate adjustments/inventory transactions to and from locations. Help to identify and report items, item packaging, and pick-face locations that may cause discrepancies. Report information with clarity and accuracy. Report information using MS Word, Excel Develop solutions for inventory issues, such as overstocking, misplacement, or stock shortages, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Help to develop methods and procedures for the effective movement of inventory in the warehouse. Work closely with warehouse operations, receiving/shipping, quality, and customer service teams to maintain inventory integrity and resolve issues promptly. Frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds for extended periods in a warehouse environment (which may involve varying temperatures, noise, and dust).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Minimum 6 months of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 6 months of warehouse equipment experience such as forklifts, order pickers, or pallet jacks when needed for counting or moving materials.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (WMS, ERP systems), spreadsheets, and general computer literacy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
