About The Position

The Daytime Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, orderly, and positive environment during lunch and recess periods. This position involves supervising students, enforcing school policies, and providing support as needed to facilitate a smooth and enjoyable midday break.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and supervise groups of children effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with students.
• Ability to handle minor conflicts and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and assist with minor physical tasks, including helping students as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with children in a school or recreational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students during lunch and recess periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Address and resolve minor conflicts and behavioral issues among students in a fair and consistent manner.
• Ensure that students adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, including maintaining appropriate behavior in designated areas.
• Provide assistance to students as needed, including helping with opening lunch containers, ensuring they have access to necessary resources, and offering support in the event of minor accidents or injuries.
• Enforce school policies and procedures regarding student conduct and report any significant issues or incidents to the appropriate school staff.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to coordinate activities and address any concerns related to student behavior or safety.
• Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and parents as needed, and provide feedback on student behavior and lunchtime activities.
